Right at the tree line, under one of the palm trees, you notice a flash. It is the light reflecting from the lens of the Spyglass clutched in the yellowed bones of the hand. Without thinking twice, you pull the wooden instrument out of the corpse's hands.

Enough staring at the empty horizon! No ship will ever reach here! It's time to quit living on illusory hopes. Damn spyglass!
